Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in the West Suburbs of Chicago in north west Downers Grove and schedule all my outdoor sessions within 15 minutes from my home. Black and white sessions are done at my home in Downers Grove. If you want me to travel outside of that area, please contact me.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive your fully edited digital image gallery in two to three weeks.
How many pictures will we receive? Can we buy more?
In a black and white session I will send three (3) to five (5) digital edited images per child. I will also attempt to get three (3) images of any requested sibling and family groupings but this will be dependent on the nature of the children during this short controlled session and will be an additional fee.
In a full family outdoor session you will pick twenty (20) digital edited images from a larger online gallery.
In a mini outdoor sessions you will pick ten (10) digital edited images from a larger online gallery.
In all sessions, you will have the ability to choose the fully edited images you wish to purchase within your package from a larger gallery and the ability to purchase more a la carte or to purchase the entire gallery.
What do we wear to the black and white sessions?
The most classic and timeless look is a plain white shirt or dress but you can wear anything you like! A pattern shirt or a dark shirt gives the pictures a more modern feel. I recommend coordination of bottoms for sibling and family groupings - for example, all wear white shirts and similar color family bottoms like jeans or khakis.
How old should my baby be for the black and white portrait sessions?
Black and white portrait sessions work best starting with a child who is able to sit well independently, usually 7-9 months.
Can you photograph my spirited toddler?
Yes! If you have a spirited young one who will not sit still or take direction well, I recommend an outdoor family session where we can play and run and capture those authentic moments. I do not recommend black and white sessions for spirited toddlers.
